Change 4 LifeOn Thursday 6th January Mosslands School welcomed Phil Rhodes a Wirral Healthy Schools Adviser who delivered an assembly to Year 7 students highlighting an exciting new course for families looking to make changes to a more active lifestyle.

Following the ‘Change 4 Life’ campaign which has run on television, and featured on billboards, Mosslands in conjunction with the Wirral Healthy Schools team is looking to highlight a 10 week MEND programme for Year 7 students starting the week beginning 17th January. Interested pupils were able to take information home to show parents.

MEND (www.mendcentral.org) stands for:-
Mind: understanding and changing unhealthy attitudes and behaviours around food..
Exercise: adequate, safe and above all fun exercise.
Nutrition: enjoyable, practical activities that teach children about healthy eating and meal planning

Do it!

For those taking part in the 10 week programme it will involve a two hour session led by qualified instructors each week. Each programme involves a supermarket tour and taster session, a goodie bag with MEND T-shirts, folder and certificate. A adult must attend each session with their child.

Places on the programme are given away on a first come, first served basis.
