Courage Rewarded

Year 8 student Carl receives an award from the Crime Prevention Panel in recognition of his heroic act 

Carl receiving his bravery award Year 8 student, Carl receives an award from the Crime Prevention Panel in recognition of his heroic act after an incident that occured in a park in New Brighton.

During the summer, Carl and a number of other students from other schools had been in the park and witnessed an elderly lady be viciously mugged in Vale Park New Brighton. Carl saw the culprits as they ran past him and immediatley ran over to help the lady, he then informed the police immediatlely from his mobile phone and was eventually taken over by the police to Liverpool to attend and help in a line up.

Carl was praised for his help, courage and calmness by the police.

Today Rusty Keane (Chair) of the Crime Prevention Panel presented Carl with an award for his bravery during the Ruskin assembly.
