Mosslands Student Council- Head teacher interview panel

Our fantastic student council met this week to have input on selecting the new head teacher for the school. They were highly motivated by the chance to have such a huge impact on the future of their school and came up with some challenging questions to find the best person for the job.

They were briefed by acting head teacher Mrs Lee who highlighted the importance of student voice in the decisions of the school. They studied the job specification for the role and came up with with a large list of relevant and diverse questions.

From this they chose six key questions for the interview and 2 teams of students from all years interviewed the prospective head teachers. They were also key in feeding back the best candidates to the school governors.

It was a valuable and important process and the students are a credit to the school.
