Helping the Heroes

Grenfell house hand over a cheque for £585.90 to June Ross, repesenative of the Help for Heroes charity.

Students handing over a cheque to June RossGrenfell students raised a fantastic total of £585 .90 for the Grenfell charity 'Help for Heroes' last year. This was done through a photographic competition and subsequent calendar, sale of wristbands, sale of personalised class photographs and raffle for a giant handmade Easter egg donated by chocolatier, Bala Croman.

We handed the money to the charity representative June Ross on Wednesday 14th November 2012 during our morning assembly. June showed the assembly a 'thank you' DVD on behalf of the charity. The Grenfell House staff are delighted with the efforts the students have made in contributing to the fantastic amount raised so far.

The Grenfell House Office has a small number of exclusive 'Union Jack - Help for Heroes' pin badges. They are on sale for £1.00 and are selling fast. We are looking forward to fund-raising this year and have already had donations of two 'Help for Heroes' rugby shirts from Adam Bevan 7G1, which will be raffled.

Once again, we would like to say a big 'thank you' for all the money raised during these difficult financial times.
