Year 8 students at Mosslands were able to gain an insight into the wide range of careers in automotive manufacturing, when ten undergraduates visited Mosslands in November. The undergraduates were on placement in different parts of the business from engineering, quality, IT, finance and logistics. This allowed the apprentices and undergraduate students to enthuse pupils about the diverse opportunities available in this high tech manufacturing industry.

Pupils learnt about the different careers in the automotive industry by speaking with the undergraduates and apprentices. Pupils watched videos, and took part in quizzes and games, including a competitive manufacturing game that simulated real life production, with pupils taking on different roles and responsibilities.

‘The school was grateful to Vauxhall’s for providing pupils with a valuable insight into a modern high tech industry’. Careers Adviser, Mosslands School.
