The boys have successfully completed their Level One Award in Personal Well-being, which is an accredited qualification with the Open College Network. Students have spent 6 months working towards the additional and voluntary qualification, producing a portfolio demonstrating their understanding of; Stress, signs and symptoms of stress, developing strategies to relax and manage / reduce stress, this has been particularly helpful during year 11 and with the exams.

During the course, students have experienced a wide range
of activities, in which they were put in demanding situations and used their techniques to manage their emotional response. The quality of their work has been outstanding and the External Verifier from the Open College Network commented 'As a result of attending the course, feedback and evidence from students demonstrated that they were more focused on their future. The support they received on the course very good and the tutor was always there to help, guide and support. Students clearly gained self-confidence and are now able to manage their own stress. These are 15/16 year old young men and therefore a great achievement'

The boys have produced outstanding work, shown commitment, humour, fun and supported eachother throughout the course. They have been a pleasure to work with and teach.
We would like to congratulate the students on their success and wish them luck as they move on to the next phase of their journey. Well done boys!
