The management of the school is the responsibility of the Headteacher, but there needs to be a close working relationship with the Governing Body if the school is to provide the best educational opportunities for our pupils.  The three standing committees, Curriculum, Finance and Personnel and General Purposes, each meet four times a year and report to the full Governing Body on the four occasions it meets.  Working parties drawn from governors and staff will sometimes meet to fulfil a specific task.  Governors sit on appointments panels and disciplinary panels as required.  Individual governors are sometimes called upon to give their advice in specialist areas, such as legal or construction matters.

We pride ourselves at Mosslands on having a breadth of experience on the Governing Body where everyone has a useful role and contribution to make.  The affairs of the Governing Body are conducted in a businesslike and official manner.
