Year 11 Mock Examinations 10th December – 17th December 2018
Monday 19th November 2018
Dear Parent,
Today your son has received details of mock GCSE Examinations which are taking place in December. A copy of the timetable can be seen overleaf and students are asked to read this carefully, noting the start and end time of examinations.
The regular timetable, including morning registration, is suspended to enable these examinations to take place.
This is a crucial set of examinations for the Year 11 students allowing them to demonstrate their progress to date and to help inform their choices post-16. Feedback from these examinations will be used to determine the tier of entry in those subjects where it applies.
Please note that in all examinations, mobile phones, MP3 players and any other connective devices are not permitted. I would recommend that your son leaves such items at home on these days, or alternatively, he will need to hand them in at the beginning of each exam.
Your son is expected to arrive at school for 8.35am on Monday 10th December.
Your son is only expected to be on-site for the examinations as detailed below. Where there is no examination, your son will be allowed home on study leave.
Normal lessons resume on Monday 17th December for the majority of students.
Each student will receive their own individual timetable that details all their examinations including start times and seating arrangements. Students should arrive outside their examination room 10 minutes before the exams official start time.
Thank you for your support in ensuring that your son is aware of the attached schedule and that he attends promptly as required.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Adrian Whiteley
Headteacher
