Your Learning Journey
Mosslands School firmly believes that you should be challenged to produce work of the highest standard; that you fully engage with your learning in every lesson and that you demonstrate high levels of autonomy.
You are expected to be responsible for managing your learning, to be resourceful in your approach to learning, to be both reasoning and resilient when faced with high levels of challenge, and to be reflective with regard to your studies and to act on the feedback you receive.
In return, we promise that teachers will provide you with well-planned and engaging learning opportunities, which take into account your current progress and provide specific next steps to success.
Your teachers will communicate this clearly to you on a day-to-day basis, and will keep you parents informed as to your progress through periodic reporting, currently on the SIMs Learning Gateway, and through face-to-face meetings, such as parents evening.
Your progress will initially be judged against the progress made by high performing students nationally that completed Key Stage 2 with similar grades to you, to act as a benchmark. You will be challenged to perform in-line with, or hopefully beyond this benchmark. We see no limit to your potential.
