There is a very wide and well-chosen range of extra-curricular opportunities to enhance learning. These include chess, fencing, technology club, theatre visits and many sporting activities. The school has a nationally successful debating team and recently came first, second and third in the North West Formula 1 technology challenge. (Ofsted 2016)
There are many opportunities in your school to get involved in clubs and activities. Some of these clubs may be completely new to you. What we can tell you is that you will be welcome to join any club no matter what your ability.
There are opportunities to take a role in representing your form and year group by becoming a member of the Student Council. This is a a very important role and it gives you a chance to make a difference to every day school life. Your school listens to their "student voice" and makes changes for the best.
We have a very successful debating club. The ability to debate is an important life skill. It will help you grow in confidence, it will help you to form opinions and it is also great fun!
