The Governing Body is currently made up of 16 Governors, including the Headteacher. The membership represents various groups with 5 parent governors, 2 teacher governors, 1 non-teaching staff governor, 4 LEA appointed and 3 co-opted governors. Their function is to support the Headteacher and staff of the school in achieving agreed aims and objectives. Governors work with the staff of the school through a committee structure and their task is the formulation of policy and the monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
We pride ourselves at Mosslands on having a breadth of experience on the Governing Body, where everyone has a useful role and contribution to make. The affairs of the Governing Body are conducted in a businesslike and official manner.
