Governors

"Governors bring professional expertise to their work and hold the school to account rigorously.."

Ofsted 2009

The Governing Body is currently made up of 16 Governors, including the Headteacher.  The membership represents various groups with 5 parent governors, 2 teacher governors, 1 non-teaching staff governor, 4 LEA appointed and 3 co-opted governors.  Their function is to support the Headteacher and staff of the school in achieving agreed aims and objectives.  Governors work with the staff of the school through a committee structure and their task is the formulation of policy and the monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.

We pride ourselves at Mosslands on having a breadth of experience on the Governing Body, where everyone has a useful role and contribution to make. The affairs of the Governing Body are conducted in a businesslike and official manner.
