Nasal Flu Vaccinations

A reminder that these vaccinations are being held in school on Tuesday.

Trips

Students will visit the National Apprenticeship Show later next week and Mrs Brett will be taking a group of students from years 11 - 13 to LIPA to see a performance of The IT and to have a tour of their facilities.

There is still time to get your deposit in for the ski trip in March 2025. The deadline for deposits is Monday 27th November.

Remembrance

Following Mr Hepworth's inspirational Remembrance Sunday assembly, the Design and Technology Department undertook their own tribute. After discussing, in depth, the meaning and significance of what a poppy represents, Year 7 groups completed several “Poppy Cascades” which adorned the school. We would also like to thank Miss Waddilove, who had her DT class complete one for her own room in Art.

A second group of boys, this time from years 9 and 10 are having their fun-filled afternoon at TAG Active today.

Library

As part of Anti-Bullying Week this week's Book of the Week is Danny Chung does not do Maths by Maisie Chan. This heartwarmingly funny book follows Danny as he navigates his way through prejudices, bullying and sharing a room with his non-English speaking Nai Nai. A brilliant read for our Year 7 boys!

Only two weeks to go until our boys take part in the Readathon. Students will be completing a sponsored read in the library for the entire day and raising money so that children in hospital can gain access to the latest books, authors and storytellers.  If you would like to sponsor our students and help raise money for such a worthy cause, please scan this QR Code or click this link https://readathon.secure.force.com/sponsor.

Medication in School

If you have any questions or concerns regarding medication in school, please contact the SEND Department. Students should not bring medication into school and any medication should be registered at reception. If your child is diagnosed as being asthmatic, following on from medical guidelines, please ensure they have an inhaler on then at all times and that we hold a spare within school. Many thanks.
