Mosslands boys come a respectable 4th place in the final of the Aim Higher Science Olympics and were the top ranked team from Wirral!

Putting science to the testThe final of the Aimhigher Greater Merseyside Science Olympics took place on Friday 1st July with 15 schools from Merseyside taking part in a day long series of events, competing against each other for the chance to be crowned Science Olympics winners.

The schools visited the Department of Physics at the University of Liverpool to take part in a range of events that tested their science knowledge, team working and communication skills as they worked to achieve the highest scores on the day.

School teams competed against each other and teams of teachers as they attempted to gain maximum points in activities that included 'Interactive Science Quiz', 'Grap Hand', 'Parachute' and 'Air Balloon'.

Congratulations to St. Chad’s School who triumphed on the day. The Mosslands team of Alex Segar, Joshua Keatley, Jim Parsons and Jack Sharpen, just missed out on the medals finishing in a creditable 4th position and were the top ranked Wirral team in the competition
