Great Art Day

12 Year 7 pupils took part in the ‘Great Art Day’ on Monday 26th March at the Williamson Art Gallery

12 year 7 pupils took part in the ‘Great Art Day’ on Monday 26th March at the Williamson Art Gallery, Slatey Road, Birkenhead.

Pupils were shown around the gallery by the curator, who is also the father of one of our year 11 pupils. Pupils  learnt about how the gallery works and how art is displayed through practical activities.

Enjoyment of the day did not depend on artistic skill, but did involve work as part of a team to solve the mystery of the ‘Great Art Theft’. This involved interviewing suspects and finding glues around the gallery.

All the boys had a memorable experience thanks to the staff at the Williamson Art Gallery
