Twelve of our boys represented The Mosslands School at the Merseyside Schools competition on Monday 4th November and Monday 11th November at The Greenbank Sports Academy in Liverpool. The event was specifically targeted at children with sensory impairments, special educational needs and children with a physical disability. The aim of the competition was to identify talented players and provide information on existing clubs.

Many schools from across Merseyside attended the tournament with the Wirral represented by Woodchurch and Wirral South High. Primary schools and specialist schools also competed in the competition.

All three teams played three matches in their group with all three teams winning one game each in their group. Although the boys did not get through to the semi-finals, all the boys showed fantastic team work skills and were a credit to The Mosslands School.

Well done to the boys that gave up their lunch time to come and practice and for taking part in the tournament. Also thank you to Greenbank Sports Academy for organising and running a successful event.

Teaching Assistants Claire Cottrell and Margaret Oldfield are currently organising for pupils to attend a Dodgeball Development Day at Greenbank Sports Academy which aims to adapt the game for inclusive play.
