Royden Revolve Rotary Club, who are based in Greasby, are working hard to develop stronger links with local schools as part of their 'New Generations' initiative and have been very active in thinking about joint projects with Mosslands which can make a positive difference within the community and create a stronger support network for local people.

Yesterday, Royden Rabbit, mascot from Royden Revolve Rotary Club spent the day with students and staff for a slightly later than scheduled Sports Relief fundraiser which took place during Year 8 PE lesson.

Our undraising event, in which we raised £80.00 saw year 8 students take penalties against Graham Branch, ex professional footballer for Tranmere Rovers, Burnely and

Accrington Stanley Football Club, even Royden Rabbit took his turn in goal and then took a penalty against Graham!

Royden then spent the rest of his time looking around the school, taking a turn on reception, helping with first aid, lunch duty on the Junior and Senior Yard, met students in the Green Room and even went into an English lesson!  Well done to all involved for a fun day and great effort.  We look forward to meeting the other members of Royden Revolve Rotary Club soon!
