Mosslands Boys take on 'The Law'!

On Thursday 28th of January, two of Mosslands’ most accomplished public speakers, Cameron Moffitt and Ben Harding (Year 10), represented the school at the Wirral heat of the Liverpool Law Society Public Speaking Competition at West Kirby Grammar School.

They were asked to deliver a 10 minute speech to a panel of judges/lawyers explaining the advantages of the UK remaining in the EU. They were then asked questions about the speech and had to explain their answers in an articulate manner. Both boys performed superbly. The delivery of their passionate speeches had everyone convinced of their arguments. What the boys achieved required excellent research skills as well as determination and commitment. It also required resilience and ‘bottle’. In Ben‘s words “it was nerve wracking and a genuine challenge but we’re really pleased to be through to the final”.

Well done and thanks to both boys to representing the school so well and good luck in the final.
