The Mosslands School Technology College, Wallasey, has signed the first partnership agreement with Mersey Maritime group, to lead a jobs and skills drive at the school.

Headteacher Mark Rodaway said: “Equipping boys with skills and experience to get good quality, well- paid jobs is fundamental to us.

“The maritime sector is an obvious partner for The Mosslands.”

Jim Teasdale, Mersey Maritime chief executive, said: “Our partnership with the school comes as the sector is crying out for good quality school leavers to train in a whole range of disciplines.”

There is a school open event tonight at 7pm, and tomorrow at 9am
