On Monday 9th January Becca Biddle from Chester Zoo visited Mosslands, and delivered two presentations to 7M1 & 7M2. Pupils learnt about :-

Animals in the African Savannah and the Conservation role of the Zoo.

The great African Savannah is home to many iconic animals. The session focused on a few including giraffe, cheetah, zebra and elephant looking at just how they survive in their habitat. Becca came equipped with biofacts (such as elephant tusks, snake skins) and live invertebrates. Becca was also able to inform the boys about conservation work. The zoo is a conservation charity working in over 60 countries worldwide, and Becca was able to explain why animals need conserving and exactly what the zoo is doing to help.
