CP Sport Medal Winners

Five Mosslands pupils took part in the preliminary practice CP Sports day at Bebington High Sports College.

The team

On Friday 16th November 2012, five Mosslands pupils took part in the preliminary practice CP Sports day at Bebington High Sports College.

The aim of the day was to practice a variety of sports in preparation for competition early in 2013. Such sports included Boccia, Polybat, Table Cricket and New Age Curling.

The participants were split into teams: red, blue and green. Our boys represented the red team.

Points were recorded by the young leaders in attendance and totalled at the end of the day. They included scores from the four morning activities and the results from the athletics activities that were contested in the afternoon.

This being only a practice day ready for competition next year, it was a great opportunity for boys to try new sports and to hone their skills in events they are already familiar with. They will then be able to choose their best and favourite events for the competition next year.

The scores were calculated together with our boys and the rest of the red team, made up from other schools across the region, coming in a very respectable second place.

After such a successful day, where the boys enjoyed themselves immensely, we are excited to continue this trend and aim to bring back more medals to Mosslands in the New Year.

With thanks to Lesley Cubbin, Nic Jones, Louise Kelly and ofcourse the boys, Matthew Crofts, Tom Lloyd, Scott Keegan, Evan Woodward and Ryan Roughton. Well done boys!
