Table cricket champions

Mosslands School is now the North West Regional Cricket Champions! With the generous support of The Lord’sTaverners (particularly the Lady Taverners of the region) and Lancashire County Cricket Club, a tournament was held at the international cricket arena that is Emirates Old Trafford.

The ECB (English Cricket Board) endorsed game of table cricket, is a game played internationally that provides the opportunity for youngsters with physical and learning challenges to play competitive cricket.  Mosslands has only participated in this sport for 18 months so this is an incredible achievement, which will further aid the promotion of this inclusive sport to all pupils.

The Mosslands winning team were Sean Kelly, George Campbell (Year 7), Matty Crofts, Michael Walls (L6) and Sam Lloyd Dan Lloyd, (U6) who were thrilled with winning the tournament. They now look forward to visiting the Home of World cricket at Lords, London on 27th June, being on Sky television and competing to win the title of “National Table Cricket Champions” for Mosslands School.
