“The trip to the power station was spectacular, going around every room in the massive place, was extraordinary.

We got hard hats, high vis jackets and goggles for protection on site.

During the tour we had to stop at a door that said keep closed, I started to worry but to make me feel better we were given ear defenders, inside the floor was vibrating and the room was full of massive pipes and full of a buzzing noise, we were told if you touched the wrong equipment you could die!”

“I learned that producing electricity is a bigger process than I thought and we talked about  risks and how to prevent them”

It was a really adventurous trip and when I was in the control room I actually got to transfer electricity from the power station to the national grid”. Finley Groom 7G1

“We created a wind turbine out of lego and using cogs and gears we also made models that moved, including a fire engine with a crane” Joe Barham 7F1

“I really enjoyed the visit to the power station it was informative, enjoyable and a once in a lifetime experience”… Chay Ritchie 7R2
