On Tuesday 29th June 20 Year 7 pupils attended the Liverpool Festival of Science and Technology hosted by Liverpool John Moores University and the World Museum. The programme on offer was designed to inspire and excite the Scientists, Technologists, Engineers and Mathematicans of the future. The fun activities, enlightening workshops and thought provoking talks gave students the opportunity to experience the excitement of STEM in a way that enhances the school curriculum.

Our pupils attended a session entitled ‘Climate Change? Build your own Maglev Train! Pupils learnt about magnetically-levitating trains and were able to undertake hands on activities including levitating a pencil.

This was an excellent opportunity which the pupils and staff enjoyed.
