Sky News visits Mosslands

Sky News visits Mosslands

It was an exciting time on Monday 5/11/2018 for The Protective Services Academy.  Sky News sent their reporter Tom Parmenter to interview staff and recruits involved in the Public Services qualification in Year 12.

It has been identified that the armed forces are short of 8,200 soldiers, sailors and air personnel.  This is the worst shortage since 2010. In a bid to recruit more servicemen and women to the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, the Ministry of Defence is lifting this cap and allowing more foreign nationals living abroad to apply to sign up.

The programme run at The Mosslands School is aimed at giving students a taster of life in the proetctive services and trying to ensure they are as fully prepared as possible before making the decision to sign up.

The interviews were aired live on the Kay Burley Show throughout the day on Monday.
