Tasting the food The Food Technology Department and 26 year 10 students, all enjoyed a wonderful day at Nantwich Food Festival. Whilst there, we were able to taste and sample many delicious food delights such as, fish and meats, olives, beautiful balsamic vinegars, unusual chocolates such as sea salt flavour, lemon and poppy seeds, to name but a few, and some very very very hot chilies!
We also watched and took part in a tea tasting demonstration, where we were told the best way to taste tea is to slurp it from a spoon. Cake decorating was great fun, and the butcher also did a fantastic sausage demonstration for us.

The Love Food Hate Waste team were there giving us tips and advice on how to stop wasting food and use the leftovers which we would normally throw away to make some great recipes.

Check out their website for more information and recipes www.lovefoodhatewaste.com

A really great day and enjoyed by us all.
