On Friday, STEM students are visiting MACH 24 at the NEC in Birmingham. Here they will “experience” the Education and Development Zone: The Zone, sponsored by Sandvik Coromant, is an educational hub designed for students keen to explore what engineering-based manufacturing can offer them as a future career. MACH 2024 has over 500 exhibitors – all eager to showcase their latest cutting edge, innovative products and services across many sectors. Key aspects of manufacturing technology on display will include; machine tools, cutting tools, metrology equipment, additive manufacturing (3D printing), surface engineering, robotics and automation, sheet metal, metal forming and fabrication technology, and specialist software which is both enabling and driving the digitisation of manufacturing.
