Cooking Challenge Day 2
This week has seen the highly successful ‘Great Mosslands Menu’ cooking competition take place. All the houses – Faraday, Ruskin, and Grenfell, were represented across Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 by teams of two pupils.
Each of the teams were chosen on the merits of the dishes that they researched. The winning team for each year were awarded the highly coveted trophies by the head of the panel of judges, Mr G Jones, Director of Learning for Technology. The theme for this year’s dishes was Asian Cuisine. The judging panel was treated to a wide variety of dishes and ingredients that ranged from honey duck breast to fish in a spicy tomato sauce, and from peanut dishes to sticky Chinese spare ribs.
