Year 7 STEM Day

Year 7 pupils gained an insight into science and technology advances, and how these innovations will change our lives in the future
Recently all Year 7 pupils took part in an interactive Science Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) day in the hall. Pupils gained an insight into science and technology advances, and how these innovations will change our lives in the future. Pupils learnt about new smart materials, including ‘Gecko tape’, and technology built into the fabric of clothes. Pupils also explored developments in communications, and the growth and importance of renewable energy sources.
Pupils worked in teams to solve set problems and present their solutions to the rest of the year group. All pupils who took part received a British Science Association BRONZE CREST AWARD for their efforts throughout the day.
