On Tuesday 13th May Mosslands School was able to nominate five high achieving Year 9 pupils to take part in a government funded initiative to encourage pupils to consider applying for top universities in the future.
The visit day gave pupils a taste of university life and the chance to ask questions about future options. The university arranged two academic lectures given by University staff, a tour of the campus and a higher education workshop on student life.
Alongside the valuable academic programme, the five pupils had the opportunity to meet and work alongside current undergraduate students, gaining a further understanding about life at the University of Liverpool, while also meeting other pupils from a variety of schools.
At Mosslands we work closely with our local universities to provide opportunities for pupils in Year 7 to 13.
