6th Form Tour of HMS Tyne

6th Form students Luke White, Cameron Nuttall, Daniel Finegan, Tom McGinn and Alex Ward who have a keen interest in careers in the Royal Navy were able to undertake a tour of HMS Tyne while the ship was docked at Liverpool

6th Form students Luke White, Cameron Nuttall, Daniel Finegan, Tom McGinn and Alex Ward who have a keen interest in careers in the Royal Navy were able to undertake a tour of HMS Tyne while the ship was docked at Liverpool. HMS Tyne is a river class patrol boat, built to safeguard the fishing stocks in British and EU waters. The Tyne has also been designed to carry out other tasks including – environmental protection, search and rescue and maritime security.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Students were able to ask questions of crew members, and gained further understanding of careers in the Royal Navy, and the personal qualities looked for in potential recruits.
