Year 11 Mock Examinations22nd Nov – 3rd Dec 2021

Dear Parent/Carer

Year 11 Mock Examinations
22nd November – 3rd December 2021

Today your son has received details of mock GCSE Examinations which are taking place in November &
December. A copy of the full timetable can be seen overleaf and students are asked to read this carefully.

Each student will receive their own personal timetable that details all their examinations including start
times and seating arrangements. Students should arrive outside their examination room 10 minutes before
the exams official start time.

The regular school timetable is suspended to enable these examinations to take place.

This is a crucial set of examinations for the Year 11 students allowing them to demonstrate their progress
to date and to help inform their choices post-16. Feedback from these examinations will be used to
determine the tier of entry in those subjects where it applies. In the current situation with regard to
disruption caused by the pandemic, it is entirely possible that these assessments will also be used
as evidence towards final performance by the examining bodies next summer.

Please note that in all examinations, mobile phones, watches, MP3 players and any other connective
devices are not permitted. I would recommend that your son leaves such items at home on these days, or
alternatively, he will need to hand them in at the beginning of each exam.

Your son is only expected to be on-site for the examinations as detailed in his personal timetable. Where
he has no examination, your son will be allowed home on study leave using Google Classroom to revise.

Normal lessons resume on Monday 6th December for all students.

Thank you for your support in ensuring that your son is aware of the attached schedule and that he attends
promptly as required.

Yours sincerely

Mr Adrian Whiteley
Headteacher
