FencersFive students from Mosslands Fencing Club went to the Ashton Open Fencing Competition on Sunday 3rd October. There were 50 fencers competing on the day and our boys, who were in their first competition, performed very well indeed. Unfortunately most of the boys were knocked out in the last 64, with one notable exception Adam Robinson who fought through to the last 32. This means that he also earns national ranking points and becomes a ranked fencer in Great Britain. The final results were; Mohammed Wilkinson (U6R2) 37th, Cyrano Drepaul (L6G3) 35th, Ahmed Wilkinson (L6R2) 34th, Sam Isaac (L6F2) 33rd, and Adam Robinson (11R2) 29th.
