Year 11
OCR CAMBRIDGE NATIONALS IN SPORTS STUDIES
Students can now opt to study this course from year 9. It is equivalent to the GCSE and is graded as Pass, Merit and Distinction.
The students will be examined in one unit (Contemporary issues) and then complete coursework for 3 more units over the three years they study it.
The students on it so far are really enjoying the course as it has practical elements and students have the opportunity to become sports leaders and coaches.
