KS3 Rationale

In Drama, students creatively explore and question what we are all fascinated and driven by: human behaviour. Drama is about communication and creation. It is about giving our young men a voice and providing them with the skills and the confidence to explore themselves and the world around them.

A high-quality Drama education ensures all students:

  • Are provided with a safe, supportive environment in which they can develop their personal, social and emotional skills.
  • Develop their communication skills through a range of drama techniques and elements.
  • Can practically explore issues and life experiences by developing their empathy.
  • Use Drama as a vehicle to understand and process the world around them.
  • Have their imagination stimulated, and their creative thinking encouraged and embraced.
  • Are given the opportunity to partake in performance.

Ambition We set the highest expectations for ourselves. We take pride in our work and set high standards for each other.
Community We contribute positively to the lives of others through the work that we create and share. We demonstrate the values of Mosslands inside and outside the classroom.
Knowledge We are lifelong learners, striving for knowledge, and developing our skills for an ever-changing technologically advanced world.
