A huge thanks to all Mosslands boys who took part in a fantastic range of Children in Need fundraising events last week. So far we have raised a total of £2600 and still counting.
On Thursday 13th November, Year 9 Mosslands students put their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics skills to the test in a one-day challenge.
As part of the North West Schools STEM programme The Mosslands School, together with 33 other schools from across the North West, had the opportunity to engage with the “Tomorrow’s Engineers” team.
During this Autumn Term the PSHE Department has organised and delivered many events to enhance pupils’ understanding of the issues around Relationship and Sex Education, Personal Health and Safety and opportunities to contribute to society.
Mosslands School welcomes the theatre-in-education roadshow which helps students learn about careers in engineering construction.
After our visit from Morris on Friday, we had a wonderful surprise visit from Barney and his trainer Adam Kocurek, on Monday.
On Tuesday 11th November, the entire school marked Remembrance Day by watching an extract from the War, Peace, Remembrance festival performance piece in the school hall.
On Friday 7th November Mrs Sian Lloyd accompanied 16 students from form 7G1 for a bag packing charity event in aid of Children in Need at Morrisons Supermarket New Brighton.
Morris our Second Guide Dog puppy, has returned to Mosslands for the day.
Electricity, we use it every day but we take it for granted! 30 Year 7, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math’s) students got the opportunity to investigate how electricity is produced during a visit to Deeside Power Station and this is their thoughts of their experience at Deeside Power Station..
